The Molecular Cytogenetics and Agricultural Genomics Group is in the Division of Genetics and Genome Biology and Institute for Environmental Futures, research-led groupings engaged in a wide range of research activities, including Plant Cellular and Molecular Biology, Molecular Cytogenetics, Behavioural and Evolutionary Biology. The Division and Institute is is committed to the provision of high quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. It is the major contributor to the Biological Sciences curriculum with the University of Leicester. Until August 2015, the group was in the now-dissolved Department of Biology, then the Department of Genetics, then Department of Genetics and Genome Biology.

The University of Leicester is a major Research university in the UK. It has won Times Higher Education Awards for seven consecutive years 2007-2013 including “University of the Year”.

_phh5981adrian_building_leicesterMembers of the molecular cytogenetics group teach in all years and our post-graduate students are involved with teaching many of the undergraduate practical classes.

The research group is located in the Maurice Shock Builing (MSB), University Road, Leicester.

PHH’s office is room 339, on the third floor, opposite the main entrance door on the far side of the building, more or less above a bridge to another building. The lab 347 and joint office 352 are close by to the right (North East end).
